The show starts at 9PM and will be supported by openers Adventure and Vacationer. But the best part is Rdio subscribers get their admission covered for FREE. On September 21st, the Pygmalion Music Festival will touch down in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois for five days' worth of cutting-edge music, including headliners like chillwave extraordinaire Washed Out, synth-pop experimentalists Gang Gang Dance, and dance connoisseurs Cut Copy.
Rdio is sponsoring the entire festival, but we’re excited about one showcase in particular. Longstanding indie rock label Polyvinyl Record Co. is celebrating 15 years by featuring ten of their most prolific and most respected acts, all in one day. Cult favourite Champaign-Urbanites Braid will play a headlining set, as will compadres Deerhoof, Japandroids, Xiu Xiu, and a host of others. The iconic record company has also put together an inspiring playlist to celebrate the event.
