Rdio Bridges Music and Film with San Francisco Film Festival Partnership

Rdio is pleased to join the San Francisco Film Society as the exclusive Music in Film partner for the San Francisco International Film Festival (April 23-May 7, 2015), providing the soundtrack to the festival and serving as the official presenter for Cibo Matto’s “Live and Onstage” program on May 5 at the historic Castro Theatre.

"Music and film have always been perfectly inextricably bound,” says Rdio CMO Marc Ruxin. “Finding and sharing the music that inspired the film, or that was used as a soundtrack has always been an expensive and challenging proposition. Rdio is providing the tools for directors, editors and actors to create new content around films that makes it easy to share and promote around.”

You don’t need to be in the City by the Bay to enjoy the action at the SFIFF! Tune in to the Rdio SF International Film Festival channel to listen to free stations curated by leading filmmakers and musical directors who are participating in the event:

Send More Ravens - More Game of Thrones Characters Musically Battle It Out

Ok, so we've totally been waiting for Season 5 of “Game Of Thrones” to start. Our calendars are set, our phone alarms will go off to the tune of “The Main Title" by Ramin Djawadi, and we're ready. Really really ready.

But in case you're not as prepared, some new character profiles have been creeping into Rdio and with that comes character playlists.

Welcome Cersei Lannister (and being careful to do so with a smile on our faces). She brings a ruthless yet somehow sensitive playlist she's called "Love Is Poison!” Covering her favorite "I'm in charge" or "I'm sorta lonely but I can't tell you" songs. Listen and favorite "Love Is Poison" or else, here:

Theon Greyjoy is back and has brought out some of his all time favorite 90's songs with him. His playlist "The World Is A Vampire" is all about being held captive and stuff. But really Theon's playlist probably helps him put the past behind him because who really has any idea what he'll do next?

Sansa Stark's "Porcelain, To Ivory, To Steel" helps her get through those tough relationships she's been through. When she's down, Charli XCX, Taylor Swift, and Drake keep her head up, and remind her just how strong she really is. Kudos Sansa kudos.

Samwell Tarly cuts deep with his "The World Is Full Of Cravens" playlist. He shows us what it really feels like to have lived within the walls of Castle Black. With tracks from Joy Division, The Smiths, and The Cure you'll have a pretty clear understanding of the men behind the wall. We're rooting for you Samwell hang tough.

Stay tuned for more musical selections from these Game of Thrones characters throughout the season and be sure to watch the season opener Sunday, April 12th when it airs on HBO.
