Brooklyn indie band Grizzly Bear is back with Shields: B-Sides, offering new tracks, demos, and remixes from their 2012 studio album. These songs are so stark and beautiful, we had to give Grizzly Bear the stage in this week’s New Music Weekly video. Artists Nessim Higson and Camille Herren shine the spotlight on the concept art:
"We took two bodies and wanted to morph them into an ecstatic, surreal and abstract dance performance that evolved over time. In order to abstract the film further and give it a unique look, we decided to distort, print, xerox and scan in every frame (yes, laborious) resulting in a starker contrast and unique texture."
