Los Angeles-based singer Orfeo might be classically-trained, but he finds equal inspiration in the singers of the 20th century, such as Smokey Robinson, Donna Summer and Sylvester. His first release is the self-titled EP Orfeo, which was produced by Robin Hannibal after he discovered Orfeo’s singing voice via a video online.

Their collaborative new tracks, “No Substitution” and “Quiet Nights,” are on the EP, which is on Rdio now, a week before its official release.
