Get Spooked by Rdio’s Halloween Playlist

If you’ve recently felt a chill in your bones, it might not just be because winter is around the corner: it’s Halloween! The end of October marks the emergence of ghosts, witches, Jack-o-lanterns, and (best of all) candy.

At Rdio, our favourite candy is that which appeals to the ear, so to celebrate, we’ve compiled the perfect Halloween playlist above. Blast it at your Halloween shindig, in your headphones as you trick-or-treat the neighbourhood, or just sit in your room and feel the chills run down your spine. It’s our treat to you.

Hear UK Pop-noir outfit Dark Horses Premiere Their Debut a Week Early on Rdio

Dark Horses

UK pop-noir outfit Dark Horses might wear leather jackets, but to pigeonhole them as garage-rockers or rock and roll meatheads would be simplistic. The band fuse Kraut-rock, psychedelia, and plaintive, folksy melodies to create sophisticated tunes that sound perfectly at home on a debut titled Black Music.

The album isn’t out for another week, but the whole swirling musical mass is on Rdio now, a week early. Listen to Black Music below.

Announcing the Rdio Artist Program

Rdio Artist Program

We’re committed to supporting the artist community and the music industry as a whole. That’s why today we’re launching the Rdio Artist Program — the first program of its kind, offering an innovative new model for artists to directly earn money from streaming music.

Scissor Sisters, Snoop Lion (aka Snoop Dogg), Chromeo, A-Trak and Brendan Benson — already fans of Rdio — are among the first artists to join the program. Now through the Rdio Artist Program, any artist can share their music and the music they love with their followers and be rewarded for fan engagement.

The Rdio Artist Program is active in all countries where Rdio is available, and any artist with an existing artist page is eligible to join. To learn more, visit the Artist Program page.
