New Music Weekly - June 17, 2014

We listen to all of the latest releases and select only the best for your New Music Weekly playlist. This week, we’re excited to share songs by Brooklyn indie rock acts The Antlers, Miniature Tigers, British sensation Ed Sheeran and LA punk band Joyce Manor. There are also several heavy hitters on shameless repeat right now — read the Playlist Notes below for more intel.

PLAYLIST NOTES

  • Linkin Park - The Hunting Party
The band’s self-produced sixth album is a return to the roots of their rock sound.

  • Lana Del Rey - Ultraviolence
Produced by Dan Auerbach from The Black Keys, Del Rey's much anticipated second album is a moody tour de force.

  • Tiësto - A Town Called Paradise (Deluxe)
Icona Pop, DBX, Hardwell, and Krewella are among the high-profile guests for the Dutch superstar DJ’s fifth high-energy full-length.

  • Willie Nelson - Band of Brothers
This album of original songs is reportedly the first of two new albums that will be released by the country legend this year.

  • Maroon 5 - “Maps”
With the band’s fifth album V not scheduled to drop until September, this new single is most welcome.

  • Jennifer Lopez - A.K.A. (Deluxe)
Ms. Triple Threat herself returns with an eighth album that’s heavy on rapper guest stars (T.I., Iggy Azalea, Pitbull, French Montana, and Rick Ross).
