Former Sudanese child soldier and spoken-word musician Emmanuel Jal has a new album out, as do Brooklyn Afro-funk collective Antibalas. This week, celeb blogger Perez Hilton releases the first volume of a series acknowledging the next wave of pop and electronic acts. This one features Kerli, My Name is Kay, and The Cataracs, among others.

All funk and swagger, “She Said Okay” is a lewd after-hours tune that revels in the naughty details. It also signals that the Outkast member is back in the recording booth for his next album.
Grizzly Bear - “Yet Again”
The elegant indie-pop troupe’s new album is just around the bend, and new single “Yet Again” shows the band at their most forthright, with waves of guitar chords and a yearning vocal take.
