Listen to The Darcys’ Celebrity-Submitted “Post-Soul” Playlist

Since 2007, Toronto foursome The Darcys have balanced guitar-driven pop tunes with influences like electronic, shoegaze, and soul to arrive at their romantic-yet-unpretentious sound.

The Darcys are now on Rdio, too, which means you can follow the band to see what music makes them tick. Recently, it’s been music that follows in the soul tradition — big, swooning melodies, passionate horns, swinging rhythms — so they asked a bunch of their musician friends to contribute their favorite “post-soul” songs to an ongoing playlist. Listen to the results, POST SOUL: A Playlist From The Darcys & Friends, below.
