Today’s Polaris Record Club entry is Galaxie’s Tigre et Diesel. The album is the Montreal quintet’s first since 2006’s Le Temps au point mort, and marks a departure from their garage-centric sound into more electronic territory. Tigre et Diesel is a grand, sparkling album of dense synths and huge riffs, and could just be the second consecutive Francophone album to walk away with the Polaris Music Prize. Check it out now, if you haven’t already.
